Bacilos is a Latin Pop music group based in Miami, Florida, US. Formed in 1998, the band has been a leading practitioner of Latin pop music and had several hits on the Billboard Latin charts. Their first album, Carolina, was released in 2001 and was an instant success. The album spawned several hit singles such as "Caraluna" and "Mi Primer Millón." The album went on to win the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album. In 2004, their second album Sin Vergüenza was released and it too was a commercial success. It earned them two more nominations at the 2005 Latin Grammy Awards for Best Pop Album and Best Music Video for their single "Pasos de Gigante". The band's third album titled Esto Es Lo Que Hay was released in 2006 and included their biggest hit single to date: "Tabaco y Chanel". This song won them the 2007 Latin Grammy Award for Record of The Year. This album also earned them four other nominations at the 2008 Latin Grammy Awards. In 2009 they released their fourth studio album titled Conexión which featured collaborations with artists such as Juanes and Alejandro Sanz among others.
This album earned them two more nominations at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards for Best Pop Album by A Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Long Form Music Video. In 2012 Bacilos announced their fifth studio album titled Manantial which included singles like "Volveré A Amar" and "La Luna". This record earned them three more nominations at the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards including Album of The Year, Best Rock Song (for "La Luna"), and Best Rock Album by A Duo or Group with Vocal. Their sixth studio album titled Amor y Libertad was released in 2015 with singles like "No Me Digas Que No" featuring Wisin & Yandel, which received a nomination for Best Urban Performance at the 2016 Latin Grammys. Bacilos has become one of the most prominent bands in Latin pop music today; they have sold over 5 million albums worldwide and have performed all around the world including Europe, North America, South America, Central America & Asia Pacific territories.
