Jacob Lukas "Jake" Anderson, better known as Prof, is an American fishing captain and co-owner of the fishing vessel FV Saga. He was born on September 16th, 1980 in Forks, Washington, and grew up in the fishing town of Anacortes. Jake began his career in 2007 when he was introduced to the world of crab fishing by his uncle. Since then, he has been featured on Discovery's Deadliest Catch for over a decade. Prof is also a professional skateboarder and has been sponsored by Volcom, DVS, and Stidd Systems Captains Chairs since 2014. His skateboarding career has taken him around the world with tours in Europe, Australia, Asia, and South America. In 2020 he released his debut album titled “Pookie Baby” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was met with critical acclaim from fans and critics alike and earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance.
In 2021, Prof embarked on a worldwide tour to promote his music which included stops in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He performed at some of the biggest festivals including the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California as well as the Glastonbury Festival in England.
