FouKi is the stage name of Léo Fougères, a Canadian rapper from Montreal, Quebec. FouKi started rapping at the age of 15 and released his first mixtape in 2010. He has since released two more mixtapes and is currently working on his debut album. FouKi's music has been described as a mix of hip hop, trap, and R&B. He has collaborated with many other artists, including Kaytranada, High Klassified, and A$AP Rocky.
FouKi has performed at several music festivals, including Osheaga, SXSW, and CMJ Music Marathon. He has been a three-time SOCAN Songwriting Prize nominee, receiving nods in 2019 for "Zaybae", in 2020 for "ZayZay", and in 2021 for "Oui Toi". His album Grignotines de luxe was a Juno Award nominee for Francophone Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2022. FouKi continued his streak on Grignotines de Luxe (Luxury Snacks), an album that cleverly blended tropical rhythms, jazz cool, and tight rhymes to open up new possibilities for him.
