He is a founding member of the alternative hip hop duo Kidz in the Hall, along with fellow rapper Naledge. The group has released four studio albums: School Was My Hustle (2006), The In Crowd (2008), Land of Make Believe (2011) and Occasion (2017). Cochise was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised on the city's South Side. He began rapping at the age of 12, inspired by artists such as Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, and Tupac Shakur. In 2001, he met Naledge while attending Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. The two soon began making music together, and in 2004 they formed Kidz in the Hall. The group signed to Duck Down Records and released their debut album School Was My Hustle in 2006. Cochise has been praised for his "clever wordplay" and "unique delivery." He has also been recognized for his ability to switch between rapping and singing. In addition to his work with Kidz in the Hall, Cochise has also released several solo mixtapes and EPs.
