Arshia Nicholas Fattahi , better known by his stage name Aries, is a singer, songwriter, rapper, and YouTuber from the United States. He has released several mixtapes, including the critically acclaimed "Aries" (2011), and his debut studio album "Long Way Home" (2012). He is currently signed to Atlantic Records.
He is the founder of Wunderworld, a record label that includes not only himself but also Biskwiq and possibly Matt Mems and Slippery Salazar. He has a dog named dogsbody.
Aries was born on April 5, 1995 in San Diego, California, to Iranian immigrant parents. His father is a doctor and his mother is a nurse. He has two sisters; one is older and one is younger. He grew up in a middle-class neighborhood and attended public schools. Aries has said that he was a "nerdy kid" who was into video games, comic books, and Magic: The Gathering. He was also a member of the chess club and the math team.
Aries first started making music in high school with his friend Biskwiq. They would record songs in Biskwiq's bedroom and put them up on MySpace.
