About Disturbed

The band Disturbed was known as hard rock leaders formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1994. The line-up of the group includes vocalist David Draiman, guitarist/keyboardist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren. Donegan and Wengren have been members of the band since its inception, with Moyer replacing former bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak and Draiman replacing original lead vocalist Erich Awalt. The group's debut album, The Sickness, was released in 2000. The album was a commercial success, reaching the top spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and selling more than four million copies in the United States. The band's follow-up album, Believe, was released in 2002 and was an even greater success, reaching the second spot on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over six million copies in the US. They got five consecutive number-one debuts on the Billboard Top 200.

The band's next two albums, Ten Thousand Fists (2005) and Indestructible (2008), both reached the first spot on the Billboard 200 chart and sold more than one million copies each in the US. The band's album, Asylum, was released in 2010 and reached the third spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The band has seen great success both in the US and internationally, with their albums being certified gold, platinum, or multi-platinum in several countries. They have also won multiple awards, including two Grammy Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards. Their songs scored eleven No. 1 singles on Active Rock Radio. In addition to their musical success, the band has also raised awareness for various social and political issues, such as animal cruelty and domestic violence. After taking a break in 2011, the members of Disturbed regrouped four years later to drop their album 'Immortalized' in August 2015.

During this time away from each other, they explored different side projects and further honed their individual talents. Last November 2016, Disturbed released an exquisite live album entitled "Disturbed: Live at Red Rocks" - a captivating recording that captures the pure energy and emotion of their performance. Boasting over 17 million sold records across the globe. Their music videos are such fans' favorites like their song, Are You Ready and their hit single Immortalized was awarded a platinum certification, followed by the triple-platinum crossover smash success "The Sound of Silence" which earned an esteemed 2017 Grammy Award nomination for “Best Rock Performance.” Disturbed is one of the most triumphant rock bands of this century, standing proud alongside Slipknot and Godsmack. Disturb band this 2023 is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a huge world tour and new music in the pipeline.
