Noah Gundersen is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington. He was born on May 31, 1989. Gundersen began his musical career at the age of 15, when he started writing songs and performing in coffeehouses around the Pacific Northwest.
Gundersen is the oldest of five biological and three adopted siblings, all of whom lived in Centralia, Washington on a homestead when he was 5 years old. He attended Centralia College for one year before moving to Seattle to pursue his music career.
In Seattle, Gundersen met Nathan Junior, who would become his long-time collaborator. The two began playing shows together and self-releasing music. In 2010, they released an EP called Brand New World. Gundersen also released his debut solo album, Ledges, that year.
Gundersen's music has been featured in several television shows and movies. His song "Day is Gonna Come" was used in the season 4 finale of The Walking Dead. His song "Dying Now" was used in the season 11 finale of Grey's Anatomy. Gundersen also appeared in an episode of the TV show Nashville, performing his song "Simple Song."
Gundersen's latest album, White Noise, was released in 2017. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Folk Albums chart. Gundersen is currently on tour in support of the album.
On July 7, 2021, Gundersen revealed in an Instagram post that he had gotten engaged, acquired a house, and that his new LP would be released "later in the year," as well as revealing that a new Young in the City EP was completed and would be published soon.
