Donnie Iris is an American rock musician who has been performing since the 1970s. Born Dominic Ierace on February 28, 1943, Donnie Iris is best known for his work with the Jaggerz and Wild Cherry during the 1970s. He found fame as the lead singer of the Jaggerz (the one-hit wonder from 1970 responsible for the number two hit "The Rapper"), but he also had a successful solo career that included hits such as "Ah! Leah!", "Love Is Like a Rock", and "My Girl". Donnie Iris has released several albums throughout his career, including Ah! Leah!, King Cool, and No Muss...No Fuss. His most recent album, Donnie Iris: The Best of Donnie Iris & The Cruisers, was released in 2012. In addition to his music career, Donnie Iris has won several awards over the years. He was inducted into the Pittsburgh Rock 'n Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2006 and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from BMI in 2008. In 2019, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from MusicFest at Mt. Lebanon High School.
