CAAMP (stylized as CAAMP) is an American folk band from Athens, Ohio. The band consists of Taylor Meier (vocals, guitar), Evan Westfall (vocals, banjo, mandolin), and Matt Vinson (bass). The group formed while attending Ohio University in Athens. They have released two albums independently, Boys (2012) and Caamp (2016). Caamp has so far put out four albums. Their self-titled debut album was published by Square Roots Records in 2016. A six-song EP by Caamp was released in 2018. Via and By, their follow-up album, was released in 2019 by Mom + Pop Music. The album includes the hit "Peach Fuzz." The group has toured with the likes of Brandi Carlile, The Avett Brothers, Grouplove, and Modest Mouse. The CAAMP band's name is derived from a misspelling of the word "camp." Meier and Westfall have said that they chose the name because it sounded fun and carefree.
