Swedish House Mafia is a Swedish music trio that rose to fame in the early 2010s. Comprised of producers and DJs Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, the group started making their mark by releasing chart-topping electronic singles such as “One”, “Miami 2 Ibiza” and “Save The World”. Their first full-length album, Until One, released in 2010, was a major hit with songs like “Greyhound” gaining commercial success all over the world. Following the release of Until One, the Swedish House Mafia began a massive world tour that included sold-out shows at some of the biggest music festivals on the planet, including Coachella and Ultra Music Festival. They went on to produce two more albums - Until Now (2012) and Leave The World Behind (2014).
In addition to their many accomplishments in music production and performing, they have also won multiple awards including an Echo Music Award for Best Dance Single of the Year for “Save The World” as well as two DJ Mag Top 100 awards for Best Live Act at #2 in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Their rise to popularity did not come without controversy however - their 2013 single “Don't You Worry Child” was heavily criticized for sampling Simon & Garfunkel's classic folk song "The Sound Of Silence". Nevertheless, their continued creative output has attracted millions of fans around the globe - even after announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2012.
