Robert Earl Keen is a country music singer/songwriter and performer from Houston, Texas. He has been actively recording and performing since 1984, releasing more than 20 studio albums, numerous live albums, compilation albums, and exclusive recordings. Beyond his solo career, Keen was the frontman for the bluegrass act Congregation of Rust from 1997 to 2003. Keen's early work included several charting singles such as "The Road Goes On Forever," which peaked at number 13 on Hot Country Songs in May 1995, and "Whenever Kindness Fails," which peaked at number 55 in August 1996. His other hit singles include “Feelin' Good Again” (Number 18 in 1998), “Merry Christmas From The Family” (Number 58 in 2000), and “Gringo Honeymoon” (Number 41 in 2004). Robert Earl Keen's lyrics explore themes of love, loss, and the joys of life on the road.
Throughout his career, he has released several critically acclaimed records such as 1988's West Textures and 1993's A Bigger Piece of Sky.
