Micky and the Motorcars are an Americana rock band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 1996 by brothers Micky Braun (vocals, guitar) and Gary Braun (vocals, lead guitar), the band has released seven studio albums to date. Their unique blend of country, folk, and rock music has earned them a loyal following among fans all over the world. The band's debut album, Everywhere You Go (2002), was their first major success. The album featured singles such as "I Can't Wait", which reached #7 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and was certified gold in the US. This success was followed by their sophomore effort Hearts From Above (2005). This album produced several hit singles including "Long Haul Drivin' Man" and "Cryin' Out Loud". It also earned them a nomination for Best Album at the 2005 Americana Music Awards. Following this success, Micky and the Motorcars released two more albums - A Thousand Miles from Nowhere (2008) and Live at Billy Bob's Texas (2009). Their fifth studio album, Reckless (2010), saw them reach new heights of popularity with its single "Hurt Somebody" reaching #6 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and being certified Gold in Australia. In 2012, they released their sixth studio album titled Hearts from Below which included singles such as "Girl Like You" and "Come Around".
