Eddie Montgomery is a country music singer-songwriter and member of the duo Montgomery Gentry. Eddie has been making music since the early 90s when he formed the duo with Troy Gentry. The two have released nine studio albums, two greatest hits albums, and one live album since their debut in 1999. They have also earned numerous awards throughout their career, including the Academy of Country Music Award for Duo of The Year four times in a row between 2000 and 2003. Montgomery Gentry's first single "Hillbilly Shoes" was a huge success, reaching number three on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and number twenty-one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The duo continued to make hits with their third album My Town, which featured singles such as "Something To Be Proud Of," which topped both the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and US Billboard Hot 100 chart; "If You Ever Stop Loving Me," which peaked at number two on both charts; and "Gone," which reached number one on both charts.
In addition to his success with Montgomery Gentry, Eddie Montgomery has released two solo albums: Tattoos & Scars in 1999 and My Christmas Wish in 2020. He has also made several appearances as a guest vocalist on other artists' songs such as Trace Adkins' "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" (2005) and Tyler Farr's "Whiskey In My Water" (2014).
