Dan Easton Corbin is an American country music singer. He signed to Mercury Records Nashville in 2009 and released his self-titled debut album in 2010. It included the singles "A Little More Country Than That", which reached number 2 on the Hot Country Songs chart, and "Roll with It", which peaked at number 14. Easton Corbin album, All Over the Road, was released on September 11, 2012. This album includes the title track, which was co-written by Corbin and Jon Nite and reached number 5 on Country Airplay in 2013. Corbin was born in Trenton, Florida, and raised in Otter Creek, Florida. He is the son of Donna and Dave Corbin, who were both teachers. He graduated in 2003 from Trenton High School. He played football, basketball, and baseball, and sang in the high school choir. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he studied agricultural economics and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He dropped out of college after one semester to pursue a music career.
Corbin began writing songs when he was 18 years old. He cites James Taylor, George Strait, and Alan Jackson as Easton Corbin music influences. In 2007, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in country music. He signed with Mercury Records Nashville in 2009 and released his self-titled debut album in 2010. He has won numerous awards, including the Academy of Country Music Awards' New Artist of the Year award in 2013.
The 41-year-old country singer's most recent single, "Marry That Girl," stagnated outside the Top 40 rankings for country music, but his fans have propelled the song to heights he never anticipated.
