The Dixie Chicks are an American country music group formed in 1989. With over 27 million albums sold worldwide since their formation, the Dixie Chicks have achieved a level of success, unlike any other female groups before them. The band first started to make a name for themselves with their debut album, Wide Open Spaces, in 1998. Additionally, they have been inducted into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame back in 2010 making them the only second country music group after Alabama to receive such an honor.
