Collin Raye was born on August 22, 1960. He is an American country music singer, who was previously in a band called "The Wrays" from 1983-1987 under the name Bubba Wray. His solo debut album came out in 1991 and was titled "All I Can Be". His most successful album to date is "In This Life" which was released in 1992 and went platinum. Some of his other well-known songs include "Love, Me", "That's My Story", and "I Can Still Feel You". Raye has also dabbled in acting, appearing in the TV movie "Coal Miner's Daughter" in 1980 and an episode of "Touched by an Angel" in 2002. In 2007, he was inducted into the Arkansas Music Hall of Fame. "All I Can Be" was the first of four albums released by Raye to achieve platinum certification in the United States for sales of one million copies each. Maintaining several Top Ten hits throughout the rest of the decade and into 2000, 2001's Can't Back Down was his first album that did not produce a Top 40 country hit, and he was dropped by his record label soon afterward. Not recording another studio album until 2005's Twenty Years and Change, which was released on an independent label. In 2006, Raye returned to Epic Records with the album "Never Going Back". The album's title track and lead-off single, which Raye co-wrote with Rick Bowles and Jimmy Melton, peaked at number 45 on the country charts. Afterward, Epic Records closed its Nashville branch, making "Never Going Back" his final release for that label. From 2009 to 2011, he was signed to Asylum-Curb Records, releasing the album "A Different Man" in 2010. The album's lead-off single and only Top 40 hit, "She's with Me", peaked at number 32 on the country charts.
