  • Colden Rainey Swindell, known professionally as Cole Swindell, was born on June 30, 1983, in Bronwood, Georgia. He began his musical journey after attending Georgia Southern University, where he met fellow Sigma Chi fraternity member Luke Bryan. This connection led Swindell to Nashville in 2007, where he spent several years selling merchandise for Bryan while honing his songwriting skills. Swindell penned tracks for prominent country artists, including Craig Campbell's "Outta My Head," Thomas Rhett's "Get Me Some of That," and multiple songs for Luke Bryan, such as "Roller Coaster." In 2013, Swindell independently released his debut single, "Chillin' It," which gained significant airplay and led to a contract with Warner Music Nashville. His self-titled debut album, released in 2014, featured hits like "Hope You Get Lonely Tonight" and "Ain't Worth the Whiskey," both of which topped the Country Airplay charts. This early success established Swindell as a notable figure in the country music scene. Building on his initial achievements, Swindell released his sophomore album, "You Should Be Here," in 2016. The title track, inspired by the passing of his father, resonated deeply with fans and critics alike, reaching number one on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. The album also produced successful singles such as "Middle of a Memory" and "Flatliner," the latter featuring Dierks Bentley. Swindell's third studio album, "All of It," arrived in 2018, with singles like "Break Up in the End," which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song. In 2022, he released "Stereotype," featuring chart-topping hits "Single Saturday Night," "Never Say Never" (a duet with Lainey Wilson), and "She Had Me at Heads Carolina," a modern twist on Jo Dee Messina's classic. Throughout his career, Swindell has amassed numerous accolades, including the Academy of Country Music's New Artist of the Year award in 2015 and multiple nominations from the Country Music Association and iHeartRadio Music Awards. As of 2025, Cole Swindell continues to captivate audiences with his energetic performances and relatable songwriting. He has announced the "Down Home Roots" tour, set to kick off on March 20, 2025, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, followed by shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. The North American leg begins on May 3, 2025, at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, with subsequent performances at venues like the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheatre in Minnesota on July 11 and the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls on August 22. Fans can anticipate a setlist blending his classic hits with new material, ensuring an engaging experience that showcases Swindell's evolution as an artist.
