About Cody Jinks

Cody Jinks is a country music singer-songwriter from Denton, Texas. He first gained recognition in 2008 with his debut album "Electric Rodeo". Since then he has released five critically acclaimed studio albums and two live albums. Jinks has garnered praise for his unique sound which blends traditional outlaw country and modern alternative styles. His hits include songs like “Must Be The Whiskey”, “Hippies and Cowboys”, “Mamma Song”, and many more. He was even nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award in 2018 for his song “I'm Not the Devil”. In addition to his music career, Jinks has also produced records for other artists including William Clark Green's album "Rose Queen". He has also been featured on tracks with Texas legends Koe Wetzel and Aaron Watson.

Jinks' tours have included headlining sets at some of the biggest festivals in country music such as Stagecoach Festival, Country Jam USA Colorado, Hillberry Festival, and many others. He even opened for Chris Stapleton's All-American Road Show in 2017 alongside Brent Cobb and Margo Price. He drew praise from more influential figures in country music like Miranda Lambert who said "His passion & energy along with traditional roots make him a real character in the genre." Indeed he is one of the few remaining original outlaws pushing forward the boundaries of Nashville conventions today.

Cody Jinks' music can be characterized as "outlaw country" or "red dirt" country, yet Cody himself defies the outlaw image associated with those genres. He is among the most gifted Texan performers to grace the stage at Rodeo Houston in 2024, marking his grand rodeo debut. Cody, originally from Halton City, Texas (located just outside of Fort Worth), is well acquainted with the music industry. At the age of 16, he embarked on his guitar journey, learning from his dad. Although he dabbled in various genres, he eventually found his passion for metal music. In approximately 2005, he embarked on a musical journey with country music, the genre that resonated deeply with his upbringing. Little did he know then, that this decision would shape his future in ways he could have never imagined. In March 2024, Cody graced the Rodeo Houston stage, captivating an audience of over 70,000 fans - one of his largest crowds to date.
