Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a renowned Russian composer and musician who made a lasting impact on the world of music. The last season even had Sinead O'Connor performing alongside the choir at Ice Palace Ledovy Dvorets in what would be her only performance in Russia up until this day. The festivities have been extremely well received by audiences worldwide over the years leading to numerous Tchaikovsky Spectacular awards throughout their run including Best Show Award at Golden Mask Awards (2013 & 2016) as well as Best Director at Golden Mask Awards (2013).
