Maksim Mrvica is a Croatian pianist who has been dubbed the "Croatian Virtuoso" by fans around the world. His classical crossover music has captivated audiences globally, making him one of the most successful contemporary musicians. Born in Šibenik, Croatia in 1975, Maksim began playing maksim piano at a young age and completed his studies at the Zagreb Music Academy. He then went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London before returning to Croatia where he released his debut album, The Piano Player, in 2003. The Piano Player was an instant success and propelled Maksim to international fame. His unique style of classical crossover music resonated with audiences worldwide and earned him numerous awards such as Best Album of the Year at both the Croatian Music Awards and the Porin Awards. In 2004, Maksim released his second album Flight of The Bumblebee which featured some of his most popular pieces such as “Claudine” and “Rapsodija”. This album also received critical acclaim and further solidified Maksim's place as a global superstar.
In 2005, Maksim released what would become his signature piece: "Croatian Rhapsody". This track was an instant hit with fans all over the world and earned him even more recognition both domestically and abroad. He followed this up with two more albums - The Best Of (2006) and Inspiration (2008) - that showcased some of his best work yet. Over time, he established himself as one of the leading contemporary pianists Maksim Mrvica in Europe alongside other greats such as Yann Tiersen and Ludovico Einaudi. Throughout his career, Maksim has won numerous awards including Best Classical Album at both the Croatian Music Awards (2005) and Porin Awards (2007). He also received numerous accolades for his live performances including Best Touring Artist at both MTV Adria Awards (2006) and Porin Awards (2008). In 2021 he announced that he will embark on a 2023 tour across Europe featuring some of his most beloved pieces from over 15 years of music-making!
