From a young age, Jesse was exposed to a variety of musical genres, ranging from classical to flamenco. He began playing guitar at the age of eight and quickly developed a unique style that blended these influences. In 1997, Jesse released his debut album Tempest, which was met with critical acclaim and earned him a Juno Award for Best Instrumental Album. His second album, Gravity, was released in 1999 and featured popular singles such as "Mario Takes A Walk" and "Azul." This album also earned him a Juno Award nomination for Best Instrumental Album. In 2001 he released his third album Free Fall which included tracks such as "Switchback," "Fall At Your Feet," and "Gravity." This album went on to become one of his best-selling records and earned him two more Juno Award nominations for Best Instrumental Album and Best Male Artist. Throughout his career, Jesse has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music including Sarah McLachlan, Nelly Furtado, Pavlo Simtikidis, and many more. He has also performed on various TV shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The View. In 2004 he won Acoustic Guitar Player's Choice Silver Award for Flamenco Category for his song “Mario Takes A Walk” from the album Gravity. Additionally, he has been awarded three consecutive Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards for Guitarist Of The Year between 2006 - 2008.
