2CELLOS are a Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained cellists, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. In 2011, they signed a record deal with Sony Masterworks and released their debut album in February 2012. Worldwide, the album sold over 1 million copies in ten months, and was certified platinum in several countries. In 2013, 2CELLOS released an EP entitled Songs from the Cinema as well as their second studio album IN2ITION.
The new album, titled Celloverse, was released on 16 January 2015 and once again topped the classical crossover charts around the globe. On 19 June 2015, 2CELLOS performed with Elton John at Madison Square Garden. In April 2016, 2CELLOS released their fourth studio album, Score. The album featured cello interpretations of well-known film scores and classical pieces, including the theme from Schindler's List, "Now We Are Free" from Gladiator, Game of Thrones' main title theme, "May it Be" from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and "Con Te Partirò," among many others.
On 6 January 2017, 2CELLOS announced a new album of original material set for release on 17 February 2017. The album, titled Scatterbrain, features 16 tracks written by Šulić and Hauser, with the exception of "The Show Must Go On", which was written by Freddie Mercury.
