Jonathan Caleb McReynolds is a Grammy-winning American gospel musician, songwriter, and producer. Born and raised in Chicago, Jonathan began playing the piano at age 5. He later went on to study music at Columbia College Chicago where he was introduced to the world of gospel music. In 2012, Jonathan released his debut album Life Music which would go on to become an instant success. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Gospel chart, making him the youngest artist ever to achieve this feat! His single "No Gray" from the same album also reached number one on the Billboard Gospel chart. Jonathan's follow-up albums Make Room (2015) and The Elements (2018) were both critically acclaimed with Make Room earning him two Grammy nominations for Best Gospel Album and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. In 2020, Jonathan released his fourth studio album People which debuted at number one on the iTunes Top Gospel Albums chart as well as number two on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. The lead single from People "Not Lucky I'm Loved" earned him a 2021 Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
Jonathan has been featured in many publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine, Essence Magazine, and Ebony Magazine among others. He has also performed alongside some of the biggest names in gospel music such as Kirk Franklin and Tye Tribbett. Additionally, he has collaborated with other contemporary artists such as Kierra Sheard and Mali Music. His music has been featured in films such as Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral and television shows such as Lifetime’s Greenleaf and Fox's Empire. In 2021 Jonathan announced that he will be embarking on a 2023 tour called “People Tour: Live” which will kick off in July of 2023 in Atlanta GA followed by dates across North America including Dallas TX, Los Angeles CA, New York NY, Toronto ONT., Nashville TN and more!
