About US Figure Skating Championships

The history of the US Figure Skating Championships dates back to the late 19th century. Since its inception, this annual event has been a major draw for fanatics and competitors alike. With first-class venues across the United States, the Championships promote elite-level figure skating performance and creative expression. The first U.S. Figure Skating Championships was held in New Haven, Connecticut in 1896 with more than 500 skaters competing in men’s and women’s competitions in both singles and pairs.
