The Kingsnakes are a Nashville band that mixes blues, rock, and soul. They got their start in the early 2000s. Jack Rivers, the lead singer, started playing guitar when he was 12 years old, inspired by B.B. King and Eric Clapton. The band chose their name in 2003 and put out their first EP, Midnight Riff, in 2005. They got better at putting on a gritty, exciting live show by playing at local bars and festivals early on.
The Kingsnakes' 2008 album Snakebite made it to #12 on the Blues Billboard chart and was nominated for a Blues Music Award. From 2008 to 2012, they played in more than 50 cities across the U.S. and at big festivals like the Beale Street Music Festival. Working with legends like Samantha Fish helped them get more attention. They had two number-one singles, "Venom Blues" and "Night Howl," and their fan base grew steadily around the world.
The Kingsnakes put out Viper's Groove in 2024. It had the popular songs "Electric Coil" and "Delta Fire." They have two guitar solos, long jams, and high-energy interactions with the crowd during their live shows. The band still impresses critics and fans with their performances at over 70 shows a year, including European blues festivals.
